Mark Hamill in Vancouver to shoot a new Netflix series

We’ve got a double whammy of TV news for you, folks! Not only has Mike Flanagan’s latest project officially kicked off in town, but the ever-lovable Mark Hamill is in town for it. Curious to know what to expect? We do too, so let’s dive in!

The new project is called The Fall of House Usher (based on the short story by Edgar Allan Poe) and will be a limited horror drama series to be released on Netflix. Flanagan, who is the person behind The haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleepand Midnight Mass (which was filmed around Vancouver) will once again take the reins.

And, he’s bringing back cast members from his previous projects. Carla Gugino, who starred in both The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manoris back, just like Carl Lumbly from Doctor Sleep. However, not all of the names come back, as Tony Award-winning actor Frank Langella also joins the cast.

Of course, that brings us to one of the most enduring names in film – Mark Hamill. And naturally, the lovable Jedi had a little fun on Twitter ahead of his arrival, before revealing that he was, in fact, in town. Now it’s time to see him put on some serious shoes for this project.

Which, by the way, will be touring in and around town until June! Keep your eyes peeled, you might see a crazy set, or better yet, Hamill himself!
