Marsai Martin and her mother gave their lives to the performance of New Edition and New Kids on the Block at the American Music Prize was such a pure reaction. Both reminded me of my mom and me, as I definitely couldn’t resist dancing in my seat when the legendary boy bands took to the stage on Sunday! Between the iconic choreography, the matching outfits and the nostalgic hits, who could stay out of place during this incredible battle for Boston ?!
For the very first time, the two famous groups took to the stage together, performing a medley of some of their greatest hits, including “Candy Girl”, “Step by Step”, “If It Isn’t Love”, “Please Don ‘t Go Girl “,” Can you stand the rain “, and more. To make the evening even better, the two groups have announced that they are going on a separate tour! Even after all these years, it’s clear that New Edition and New Kids on the Block still have it.
