More than 30 Birmingham runners to compete in the 2021 Boston Marathon

Track and field fans, this one’s for you. More than 30 runners will represent Birmingham at the Boston Marathon 2021 in October. Read on for more details and the rider list.
Birmingham will be in Boston π
The Boston Marathon is the oldest annual marathon in the world and ranks among the most prestigious road racing events in the world. This year, more than 30 Birmingham runners put on their running shoes and head for the marathon.
The Birmingham Underground has 35 representatives in the October 11 race, nine of whom competed in the 2019 Boston Marathon – the 2020 race has been canceled due to the pandemic.
This year, runners are not required to wear a mask during the race, but will be required to wear it on buses to and from the race. Masks are mandatory in all medical tents along the 26.2 mile course. Masks will also be provided.
