New hotels, airport and travel improvements in 2023

One happy island is experiencing a strong pandemic recovery, with visitor arrivals for the year 2022 reaching 98% of 2019 levels and tourism revenue fully recovered, the island is ready to welcome new and improved tourism products for visitors .

From major hotel openings and renovations to airport upgrades and more, 2023 is poised to be a year of major tourism developments in Aruba.

“As we all collectively put the pandemic further in the rearview mirror, Aruba is thrilled to welcome the major developments happening on the island, which add to the excitement visitors will feel this year,” said Ronella Croes. , CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority. “From major accommodation developments to new airport resources, we are excited to showcase how Happy Island is continuously bolstering visitor resources this year.”

Notable developments are led by the grand opening of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort, which will open to guests on February 1, 2023. Conveniently located across from famous Eagle Beach, this all-suite resort will feature 330 Spacious, upscale suites with panoramic ocean and island views, each equipped with a separate living room, private bedroom, and wet bar. Outside of the suites, guests will enjoy an expansive pool, three restaurants, meeting space, fitness center, and soon a spa and casino.

In addition to this major opening, several hotels are undergoing or have recently completed major upgrades.

• The Ritz Carlton, Aruba kicked off 2023 with the launch of new island-inspired designs for all rooms, suites and hallways. The contemporary design pays homage to the hotel’s idyllic location along Aruba’s famed Palm Beach with locally inspired design motifs and waves of color with custom artwork. The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba also introduced new dining experiences, including a rum tasting flight at the Divi Sushi Bar and Lounge and the new Madero Pop-Up Bar debuted in the pool area.

• In late 2022, Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort completed the renovation of all one-bedroom suites at the property. Designed by internationally acclaimed architecture and design firm, Tvsdesign, the renovated rooms are inspired by the island’s natural elements and inclusive culture.

• In December 2022, Raddison Blu Aruba welcomed the award-winning Senses Fine Dining restaurant to the property, which offers a tableside experience from a renowned chef, as well as an a la carte option. The hotel also opened a new cafe and specialty coffee shop, The Clover, in late 2022, offering high-quality food and coffee.

Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort is also undergoing major renovations, including updates to all studios and suites by April 2023. The property has also recently completed renovations to Passions on the Beach, Horizons Lounge as well as swimming pools freshwater and children’s pools.

For visitors who choose to stay at an Airbnb property, Airbnb Experiences now offers a variety of e-bike tours courtesy of Stezo Tours. Lasting approximately 90 minutes, tours such as the Full Moon E-Bike Experience allow guests to enjoy some of the best views in the One Happy Islands with pedal assistance.

Wellness offerings in Aruba have also recently been enhanced by two new companies. The Now Skin Health & Wellness Studio offers a variety of beauty and skincare services, including signature experiences such as a Beauty Steam Party and The Now Signature Ancient Healing skin rejuvenation treatment. Essential Wellness Retreats, meanwhile, offers holistic health experiences such as wellness workshops, individual wellness consultations, and mindfulness activities like yoga, tai chi, and nature hikes. .

Complementing these hotel developments and new activities are new resources aimed at making travel to and from Happy Island even more convenient.

In December 2022, Aruba Airport Authority and Customs and Border Patrol unveiled a remote registration center for U.S. citizens, allowing U.S. visitors to easily apply for this certification that reduces time and improves their experience of leaving Aruba.

Additionally, Aruba will soon be unveiling the Aruba Happy One Pass, which will allow travelers to optimize the airport check-in process and health requirements as part of their arrival on the island. The app will connect directly to the traveler’s embarkation and disembarkation card to streamline travel to and from Aruba.
