National Fitness Campaign

Leeds Fitness Court was developed to expand free access to high quality workouts and create equitable access to exercise for communities across the state. According to BCBS, this is one of the best outdoor gyms in the world because it allows people to use their own body weight to get a complete workout using seven exercise stations.

“One of our company’s top priorities is to help improve the health and well-being of the people of Alabam. We are honored to partner with the City of Leeds to bring our Blue Cross sponsored fitness courts to Alabama. This innovative platform will help encourage communities to adopt healthy and active lifestyles. »

Sophie Martin, Director of Corporate Communications and Community Relations, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama

BCBS created the Fitness Court with people ages 14 and up with all abilities in mind. Thus, the workouts are adaptable to all fitness levels, allowing participants to move at their own pace.

Pro tip: Users can download the Fitness Court app for an enhanced workout experience.
