UK: Insurtech Sharing Economy Specialist Pikl has announced a partnership with Sykes Holiday Cottages, a independent gite rental agency.
As a result, owners of Sykes vacation homes will be introduced to Pikl’s specialist vacation home insurance, through its Preferred Partner Program.
Pikl’s technology gives property owners access to a selection of insurers to choose from so they can obtain the most appropriate cover for their property, all backed by Pikl’s expert customer service team.
In addition to liability coverage for guest injuries, Pikl’s vacation home product provides coverage for malicious damage and theft caused by paying guests, which many standard vacation home insurance policies do not. not included or are provided at an additional cost.

Sykes Holiday Cottages has made a number of acquisitions this year, including purchase of majority stake in chalet owner and operator, Forest Holidaysin April, and buy static caravan rental site UKcaravans4hire in June as it becomes a more diverse specialist holiday group.
