Poland now allows unrestricted entry to all travelers

Polish authorities have revealed that the country no longer applies COVID-19 related entry restrictions to incoming travellers.

According to an announcement made by the Polish government, all people, whether from an EU country or a non-EU country, can now enter Poland without being required to show COVID proof. -19 – vaccination, recovery, or test certificate.

In addition, it was explained that incoming travelers are no longer subject to the quarantine requirement, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

“As of March 28, 2022, all travel restrictions to the Republic of Poland are lifted, which means that there is no obligation to present COVID certificates when crossing the border, testing for SARS-CoV-2 or the so-called entry quarantine. “, says the government statement.

Such a statement suggests that even travelers who have not been vaccinated or cured of the virus can now enter Poland without being required to follow additional rules, including the quarantine requirement.

Nonetheless, authorities noted that travelers must still meet other entry criteria when arriving in Poland, such as possession of a valid travel passport or valid visa, if applicable.

Along with abolishing its entry rules for all travellers, Poland has also eased some of its nationwide restrictions related to COVID-19.

Travelers, as well as citizens of the country, are no longer required to wear a face mask when attending different public places and events.

The Polish Minister of Health, Adam Niedzielski, stressed that wearing a mask is still compulsory when accessing the various health establishments.

Like Poland, eight other EU/EEA countries – Denmark, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Romania, Slovenia and Sweden – have also abolished all their entry restrictions related to to COVID-19.

All travelers, regardless of their country of origin, can now enter the eight countries mentioned above without restriction, even if they have not been vaccinated or recovered from the virus. Unrestricted entry is also permitted for those who have not taken a COVID-19 test prior to entry.

Additionally, while in these EU/EEA countries, travelers are also exempt from following national restrictions related to COVID-19. Indeed, all these countries have abolished almost all of their restrictions.

The majority of these countries now allow travelers to access different public places such as cafes, bars, restaurants, museums, theaters, shopping malls and other events without requiring them to hold a valid vaccination or recovery pass.
