San Diego Honda Dealerships Revamp Ramona Dog Park

Random Act of Helpfulness goes to a 29-year-old man who lost his father and is caring for a 90-year-old grandmother.

RAMONA, California – Before saying goodbye to another Christmas, the San Diego Honda Dealerships wanted to deliver a bigger surprise. In this Zevely Zone, I revisited the Circle G Ranch to Ramon. It was there that I met Ryan Gonsalves and his 90-year-old grandmother, Hilda.

I told them that even Santa made mistakes. This year he bought too many gifts to fit in a van, so he had to rent a U-Haul truck. Around this time, the helpful little Honda elves would park on the property and begin unloading the loot. “Oh my god, isn’t it really?” Ryan asked.

A few months ago, I profiled Ryan in Zevely Zone. He’s a 29-year-old man who must have grown up fast. “Without him, I don’t know what I would do,” said his grandmother Hilda. Ryan looks after the sweet 90-year-old and when her father Alfred passed away, the family’s dog park business was Ryan’s to run.

Which led to this special holiday surprise. “We are the San Diego Honda Dealerships and we have a surprise for you today, we heard you do so much to help your mom and grandma that we wanted to help you back,” said Carly Harris of San Diego Honda Dealers.

Carly and her elves, dressed in Honda blue, started unwrapping dozens and dozens of presents. “Oh my God, that’s a lot,” said Ryan, who didn’t expect to get a gift this year. “I mean this has never happened to me before,” Ryan said.

Ryan is the owner of Circle G Ranch; a property that has been in his family for 40 years. Just like Airbnb lets you rent a house, there’s a company called Sniffspot that lets you rent your own dog park. For $17 an hour, you can hire Ryan’s private dog park. Ryan loves dogs, but even more he loved his father, Alfred. “Yeah, he was a huge animal lover, for sure,” Ryan said, his eyes filling with tears. “He needed a kidney transplant, and I was planning on being his transplant for that and after a while he was diagnosed with cancer and they wouldn’t do the transplant anymore.” Alfred’s dying wish was for 29-year-old Ryan to run the dog park and care for his mother Marcia who is battling Parkinson’s along with her 90-year-old grandmother Hilda.

Honda dealerships in San Diego were moved by a young man carrying the weight of the world, so they decided to provide a random act of utility. They buried Ryan in boxes and gifts! “Oh, wow, that’s cool,” Ryan said as he began to open the presents. “Awesome, oh very cool! Ryan said.

Honda dealers in San Diego watched our story on Ryan and wanted to spruce up his dog park. “Oh wow thank you so much this is definitely going to be a game changer,” Ryan said.

From new patio furniture to easy ups, umbrellas and more, Ryan has also received thousands of dollars in dog gifts. “Oh my God, this is too much,” Ryan said. “These are raised pet beds,” Carly said. “Oh, that’s perfect,” Ryan said. Just like the automatic ball launcher! “I’m speechless,” Ryan said. “Oh my god guys seriously, can I give you all a hug? Oh my god thank you.”

Ryan insisted that his grandmother also open some presents. “They come to be

give presents,” Ryan said as he entered the house. Hilda told us that her grandson was the only gift she needed. dad could have been there to share the moment. “I just hope he’s proud of me and especially taking care of her,” Ryan said.

It was normal for Grandma Hilda to open the last present. She opened a card and letter and read the following: “Honda dealers in San Diego give you a little extra help during the holidays. Take advantage of this $1,000 gift for the Circle G Ranch and your family .” Tears rolled down Ryan’s cheeks as he said, “Wow. That’s really nice. Thank you.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better grandson,” Hilda said. Ryan hopes you’ll bring your pet to his dog park to enjoy the new treats and toys. For more information on Circle G Ranch Click here.
