SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Visitors to San Diego live out one of their childhood fantasies thanks to Airbnb Experiences, becoming a mermaid for a day.
“I think the transformation starts for some people as soon as they line up and feel really magical,” said Shannon Subers, a mermaid photographer.
Subers says that when she transformed herself into a mermaid seven years ago, it helped build her confidence.
“It was useful to me in my positive body journey, being more comfortable with my stomach, it rolls everywhere, because children don’t care that you are a mermaid!” said Subers.
She was one of the first San Diego residents to be accepted into the Airbnb Experiences San Diego Marketplace.
Customers are thrilled with a mini makeover, including your choice of seashell top, makeup, accessories, mermaid tail and a keepsake seashell hair clip.
The photoshoot takes place at sunset at La Jolla Shores, and guests learn the stories of La Jolla’s famous sea caves and sea lions.
The package includes costume rental as well as 15 to 20 retouched photos.
Subers offers costumes for men and women of all ages, including children.
The mermaid experience starts at $ 85 per person. The premium upgrade with a more realistic tail is $ 105.
