In July, the star was pictured rocking her natural silver-streaked blonde locks while having lunch with friend Andy Cohen, 53, during a break from filming scenes for the Revival series.

” ‘Gray hair gray hair gray hair. Does she have gray hair? ” Sarah continued, ‘I’m sitting with Andy Cohen, and he’s got a head full of gray hair, and he’s exquisite. Why is that okay with him? ‘

“I don’t know what to tell you people! Especially on social networks. Everyone has something to say. “She has too many wrinkles, she does not have enough wrinkles.”

She went on to say, “It’s almost as if people don’t want us to be completely okay with where we are, as if they almost appreciate that we are sorry for who we are today, that we choose to age naturally and not look perfect, or if you do something if that makes you feel better.

‘I know what I look like. I do not have a choice. What am I going to do with it? Stop aging? Disappear?’

In the Vogue interview, executive producer Michael Patrick King also weighed in on fan reaction to the age of the cast. “When we announced And Just Like That… there was a lot of positive feedback, but one scathing response online was that people were sharing pictures of the Golden Girls.

“And I was like, ‘Wow, so it’s either you’re 35 or you’re retired and living in Florida. A chapter is missing here.

Cynthia explained: ‘I like that we don’t try to rejuvenate the show. We do not include, for example, a 21 year old niece.

New editor Samantha Irby told the magazine: “I think it’s revolutionary to do a show about middle aged women, with their aging female bodies.”

Sarah also briefly touched on the absence of Samantha Jones from Kim Cattrell. Kim, 65, chose not to return for the Revival series after years of feuds with Sarah.

“We have new people and some people are not back anymore,” Sarah said.

And just like that … added several new members of the color cast including Nicole Ari Parker, Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman. The original show was criticized by some for its lack of diversity.

Sarah, who is also the show’s executive producer, said it was important for her and King to diversify the cast.

“We were by no means interested in symbolism,” she explained. “You can’t bring people on the show and not let the camera be with them!” These characters are all gifts to us.

When the interview was conducted in September, Sarah learned that Willie Garson, who played Carrie’s best friend Stanford Blatch on SATC and AJLT, had passed away.

The actress had lost her business partner in her SJP shoe line, George Malkemus, to cancer days earlier.

“All I can say at the moment is that it’s like a scoop has been taken from me this week, and I don’t expect it to be filled,” Sarah told Vogue.

“Over time my body will get used to this new architecture, but now I feel really blue. It is such a loss, and I think about the joy of these relationships that I will miss. I think about the show and how much we laughed.

“And I guess regardless, that’s the title: there’s so much good in the world, and we’ve all been so lucky to be together, to do something we love.”

Part of the interview took place on a reconstructed set of Carrie’s beloved one-bedroom apartment from the original series.

Sarah announced on her Instagram that Airbnb also recreated Carrie’s apartment and that she and the company have teamed up to host guests for the night.

She added a photo she was seen posing in Carrie’s iconic closet with the caption: “And just like that … @airbnb recreated Carrie Bradshaw’s Sex and the City apartment.” And I partner with them to welcome lucky guests for a night.

“You can request to book your stay from Monday, November 8 at 12 noon EST. “
