The Airbnb Treehouse at Bella Luna Farm

SHORTER, Ala. (WSFA) – If you love staying at Airbnb, there’s a place in Shorter that will literally take you to new heights. Plus, you’ll have a whole bunch of new friends for the night.

It all started when Jason and Teresa Price, owners of Bella Luna Farmwanted to do something fun for their grandchildren.

“I set up a zipline for the grandkids and they needed a deck to start with,” Jason Price said. “Teresa suggested we build a tree house for the boys.”

“We were a little nervous about the grandkids playing there so I said how about an Airbnb and we can rent it out?” said Teresa Price.

“First of all, no one is going to rent a treehouse on Airbnb,” Jason said. “She convinced me to do it, and she was right.”

More than fair, this place is rented about 80 nights a year. You can find it for yourself on Airbnb. And that’s more than a stunning view from 30 feet above. You have nice neighbors. A family of alpacas lives below.

“Having the alpacas here right under the treehouse while you’re staying here or sitting by the fire, people love the interaction,” Jason said.

In addition to alpacas, they have chickens, goats, peacocks, and even a large turkey. When people come here, they get more than a place to stay overnight.

“It’s not just a bed to sleep in like a hotel,” Teresa said. ” It’s an experience. We give farm tours. They can help us collect eggs and feed the goats.

Once you have climbed the stairs there is running water and electricity. There is a bunk bed, fridge, microwave, sink, table and chairs and a nice view from the mini porch. They have an outbuilding attached to the stairs, but the family also has a private bathroom with a shower inside their home that treehouse guests can use. For the Price family, it’s all about relationships.

“I love meeting people I’ve never met before,” Jason said. “They can share their story, and we can share ours.”

If you want to sleep with the alpacas, book early. This place fills up fast.
