The Azalea Festival is back in 2022 in Hamilton, NJ

This is exciting news. After three years, the Azalea Festival is back at Sayen Botanical Gardens in Hamilton, according to the the town’s Facebook page.

Save this date. It will be Saturday, May 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You’ll love it. Your camera will work overtime, believe me. Azaleas and the most beautiful bushes, flowers and trees will make a beautiful background for photos. There are over a quarter of a million azaleas, rhododendrons, dogwoods, etc.

If you’ve never been there, it’s a breathtaking sight. I had my wedding photos taken at Sayen Gardens years ago. It was right after the Azalea Festival (my birthday is May 19) and many were still in bloom and my photos are absolutely stunning.

You will walk the paths through the colorful gardens… there are gazebos, ponds with fountains, bridges and much more to see. There will be artisans, vendors, music, children’s activities, food trucks and you can take a tour through the Sayen house.

Sayen Botanical Gardens is located at 155 Hughes Drive, Hamilton Township, New Jersey (Mercer County). It’s near Nottingham Volunteer Fire Company.

Cross your fingers for good weather. The rain date is Sunday May 8th…yes, Mother’s Day…Mom would like the gardens if you don’t have plans.
