The Jeopardy champion looks like the love child of Weezer and AAR

I’ve said it many times on air, but I’m a huge Jeopardy fan. I feel so old saying this, but there are fewer ways to unwind at the end of the day than with dinner watching Jeopardy followed by Wheel of Fortune on ABC on weeknights. As I watched Jeopardy this week, there was something about the latest champion that felt familiar…

The recent Jeopardy champ appears to have had a baby with Tyson Ritter and Rivers Cuomo

Jeopardy’s latest winner is Troy Meyer of Tampa, Florida. Troy, coincidentally, is a musical director. Apparently, there’s a specific look you need to succeed in the music industry, one way or another. Troy is currently on a 6-fight winning streak, earning $214,802!

As I play the game at home, my mind can’t help but wander. I thought Troy here reminded me Tyson Ritter from American releases, specifically when he has his combover in the “Gives You Hell” music video (which you can see below).

But Tyson Ritter doesn’t usually wear big-rimmed glasses, or at least not to my knowledge. What other alternative music leader is known for this kind of look? Nothing else than Cuomo Rivers of Weezer celebrity! Heck, we can get some more meta and say Troy Meyer is giving off a holly buddy-vibe, too, which of course Weezer paid tribute to in one of their early hits.
