If you like Christmas movies during the holiday season, you’ve most likely watched the 2006 blockbuster The Holiday, starring Kate Winslet, Jack Black, Cameron Diaz and Jude Law, at least 10 (or 100) times over the years.

As the popular film follows the characters of Kate and Cameron, Iris and Amanda swapping homes in Los Angeles and Surrey, fans of the film have fallen in love with the beautiful cottage named in the fictional Rosehill Cottage in the UK.

Although bosses visited the original cottage called Honeysuckle Cottage in Holmbury St Mary, Surrey, before filming, the decision was made that the location was simply too far from London, meaning producers used Honeysuckle Cottage as the design and inspiration behind Rosehill Cottage.

Now like rumors swirl about a sequel movieowners Jon and Cressida Bromley have listed the lovely cottage on Airbnbafter buying it for over £620,000 in 2019.

The cottage is described as: “The quintessential English cottage! This charming, cozy cottage was the inspiration behind the design of Rosehill Cottage in the hit Hollywood film ‘The Holiday’. It really is a unique and tranquil place to stay.

Booking will cost around £275 per night, with a two night minimum, and also includes plenty of amenities such as WIFI, TV, fire pit, garden and valley views, BBQ and outdoor dining area.

The cottage is located in Holmbury Saint Mary, Surrey, England and can accommodate a maximum of five people per booking.

In other The Holiday news, rumors swirled earlier this month that the original cast were reuniting for a sequel.

However, after fans around the world expressed their excitement, the actress Kate Winslet shut down the rumors while attending the premiere of the new movie Avatar: The Way of the Water. Speaking to showbiz reporter Lorraine Kelly, Kate said: ‘I heard this myself today and I was like ‘well that’s news to me’, I don’t think it’s a real thing, I’m afraid.

“I certainly haven’t received any phone calls. I promise not.”

While it looks like there’s no second movie in the works, at least we still have the original to binge watch this Christmas!
