Theodore Tugboat becomes a unique Airbnb in Hamilton

Hamilton’s beloved Theodore Tugboat replica, Theodore Too, is about to become an Airbnb available for a handful of special, limited one-night stays.

A New list on Airbnb shows the former Halifax stalwart – now residing here in Hamilton as a prominent feature of the waterfront – will offer two groups of lucky guests the experience of spending the night on board while Theodore is moored .

Amenities include space for up to 5 people, with 4 beds in 3 bedrooms, full kitchen with dining area, bathroom and a lovely outdoor deck at the front of the boat; which is designed with a quaint nautical theme.

Guests will be able to enjoy a cruise around Hamilton Harbor and, despite easy access to a kitchen, Theodore Tugboat Airbnb Experience will provide food for those staying onboard through local locations right here in Hamilton. The evenings will be crowned by a movie night on deck.

The most incredible of all? Stays will only cost $22 per night, plus applicable taxes and fees; a reference to the age of Theodore Too, which was built in 2000.

The catch is that currently there are only plans to host two separate nights of this special Airbnb experience, making Theodore Too available for only two groups of up to 5 people on September 10 and 11, 2022.

This special experience is being treated as a fundraiser, with Airbnb pledging to make a one-time donation to The Sunshine Foundation: a Canadian charity that supports children and youth with severe physical disabilities.

These extremely limited reservations will open for first-come, first-served bookings through Airbnb on Monday, August 29 at 12 p.m., and competition will certainly be hot for this special opportunity!
