This Airbnb is like sleeping in a condor’s nest, suspended on top of a mountain in Peru
Unique and breathtaking vacation rental experience receives rave reviews from guests. But beware: don’t look at the photos if you are disgusted by the dizzying heights.
It’s called Skylodge Adventure Suites, and it is made up of three mountainside pods in Urubamba, Peru.
“Have you ever wanted to sleep in a condor’s nest?” says the listing on Airbnb. “Here comes the next best thing! A transparent luxury capsule suspended on top of a mountain in the Sacred Valley of Peru.
But getting to the pods is no easy task, given their location on the mountain.
“To sleep at the Skylodge, people must climb…Via Ferrata or hike an intrepid trail through ziplines,” the listing reads. “One night in this place will make your dreams come true. Packages include gourmet breakfast and dinner with wine, transportation from Cusco and our professional bilingual guides.”
According to Airbnb Superhost Natalia Rodriquezcustomers will live “a unique experience that [reconnects guests] with nature or make them realize what … luxury can be,” she told CNN Travel in 2018.
The rental has a 4.9 star rating and the reviews on Airbnb are nothing short of glowing.
“Absolutely amazing experience. Completely unique and totally worth it,” said one guest. “Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.”
“This experience lives up to the hype!” another springs up. “We had such a great time! None of us had climbed or zip lined anything near this, but the guides were very helpful, informative and reassuring.”
