OK, we’ll admit the purple walls and bright aqua (or is it cyan?) kitchen cabinets were maybe a bit off-putting – but it was the 90s and the color scheme of the apartment was memorable. (I’m about to date myself) Friends apartment wouldn’t have been so lovely if it looked like the Jeffersons’ apartment, the Bunkers’ house, or the Keatons’ kitchen, n ‘is this not ?

This adorable little cottage had been used as an Airbnb and we just learned that it recently sold for $162,000. There’s no word on what the new owners have planned – they can keep it exactly as is or they can decide to put on a boring coat – and paint the walls white. Yawn.

Even the realtor’s name is Rachel

It may just be a happy coincidence, but the list is managed by Rachel. Not just Rachel, Rachel Gannon of Home Experts Realty. She nods to the TV show theme “Friends” in her original listing:

This three-bedroom, one-bathroom home is currently a friend-themed short-term rental listed on Airbnb. Completely remodeled to recreate Monica’s iconic apartment. Live in Monica’s apartment or keep it as a wonderful themed Airbnb!

Rachel, Ross, Monica, Joey, Chandler and even Phoebe would be proud.
