Hotels, restaurants and other businesses will offer attractive prices as part of the “Croatian Tourism Month” project

On October 1, the Croatian Tourist Board and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports launch the “Croatian Tourism Month”. This is a new project that will reduce the prices of tourism-related products, services and experiences during the the whole month of October.

In other words, tourists and citizens will have the opportunity to travel around the Mediterranean country, enjoying discounts of at least 35%. According to a press release from the ministry, the main objective of this new project is to advance extend the tourist season by attracting more visitors.

A successful summer season

It is important to point out that Croatia recorded an extremely successful tourist season this summer. In addition, it continues to welcome international and domestic travelers even after the peak months. Kristjan Staničić from the Croatian Tourist Board commented on the success of the season, noting that there are still around 200,000 tourists in the country at the moment.

The off-season, according to Staničić, is the perfect time to take short trips and discover new destinations. For this reason, the council collaborated with the ministry to organize and launch the “Croatian Tourism Month” during the autumn.

All companies are encouraged to participate

For 31 days in October, travel enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of services and products at attractive prices. In particular, accommodation, transport, restaurants, tourist attractions, as well as cultural, historical and natural sites will be significantly cheaper.

All the different companies participating in the project and offering reduced prices can be found on the mjesechrvatskogturizma.hr website. In addition, the co-organizers invite all companies in the tourism and hospitality sectors to join the campaign and ensure the success of the project.

Tourism and Sports Minister Nikolina Brnjac commented on the goal of Croatian Tourism Month, noting: “We think it will be an additional motivation for them [tourists] to travel and discover destinations they have not yet visited. In the current part of the playoffs, we record excellent results which confirm that Croatia has all the possibilities to become a tourist destination all year round, which is our strategic goal.
