US states where I have traveled

My family and I love to travel, which has influenced my love for travel since I was little. Often we would take road trips and just stay for the weekend depending on the distance. Traveling to all of these states showed me the diversity of landscapes and the number of fun activities to do in the United States.

  1. Florida

The first time I went there was during my spring break in third year. We went to visit family friends and then went to Universal Orlando Resort, disney worldand Epcot. I enjoyed Epcot the most because I loved feeling like I was traveling the world in one day as they have a tour of different countries.

The second time I went to Florida was when I went to Clearwater and Tampa. While in Clearwater, we rented an Airbnb and went to the beach every day. While in Tampa, we took a boat ride, ate at Acropolis Greek Tavern – Ybor City and the Florida Aquarium.

The third time was in January for a weekend to attend a family member’s 30th wedding anniversary. I enjoyed the event because I met so many new people who were very welcoming, there was a photo shoot, a special dance dedicated to the couple and we had a great meal. The next morning we had a picnic at their farm. We were able to meet the chickens and walk around the columns of dragon fruit they were growing. We stayed until we had to catch our flight to Ohio.

  1. New York

As a kid, every summer we would go to Chautauqua Lake to camp for a weekend in the summer. My aunt and uncle owned a cabin to invite friends and family over and we cooked, brought our tents and had a bonfire.

During my sophomore year in college, I did a weekend trip to New York with my partner, a friend, and some other people we knew. We went to an art gallery and walked around town.

  1. Hawaii

I went there the summer before my freshman year of high school. We went to visit my aunt and uncle and they took us for a ride to Oahu where we spent our entire trip. I was able to go to the beach every day while I was there.

Hawaii was my favorite vacation I’ve ever taken. There were beautiful landscapes and the food was so good. My favorite things to do there were swimming at Ko Olina Beach, making new friends and visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center.

  1. Illinois

In the spring, in eighth grade, we spent a day in Chicago visiting the bean, going to Skydeck Chicago and eat a deep pizza. If I go back I would love to visit the variety of museums they have and experience more restaurants.

  1. Nevada

I went to Las Vegas, Nevada for my senior year of high school and my freshman year of college. Even though I was under 21, there were still plenty of things to do that were enjoyable. I went to see my family friends there and we went to many shops, the Luxor and ate a lot of good food. The second time I went, I stayed at Mandalay Bay. We were on the 23rd floor of the 43 stories and the view was amazing but also intimidating as I am afraid of heights. Other hotels I suggest nearby in this area include The Luxor Hotel & Casino, Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegasand Excalibur Hotel & Casino.

  1. Virginia

During the summer before my freshman year, I went to Virginia Beach with my friends and our moms. For three days we enjoyed an Airbnb on the beach. We drove there and it took 10 hours round trip.

  1. Maryland

My mother, my aunt and I went to meet some friends they know who live there. We went there twice together and both times we spent one night and two days there. The first time I went there I remember taking a boat ride because they lived somewhere that had a private lake where the residents could use their boats and bring a few guests there as well. The second time I went, I remember going to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and then to the History Museum.

  1. Michigan

I went to Michigan with my mom in March 2022. We were only there for two days to meet a family friend, but I had one observation of the state that it was very similar to Michigan. ‘Ohio, just colder.

Seeing all the states I have been to has been a good experience to have in my life. I prefer getting out of the US, but traveling to different states here and seeing what activities they offer has its great qualities as well. Each state has a variety of things to do and that’s what I love about traveling here.
