Visit the charming little town of Dublin in New Hampshire

New Hampshire has many charming small towns, but historic Dublin is often overlooked. This quaint town is one of the most scenic and friendly areas in the state, so it is definitely worth visiting. Dublin offers a wide variety of things to do for visitors, from visiting the historic home of the famous Yankee Magazine to hiking the north slope of Mount Monadnock. So visit today and experience the wonderful activities this little town has to offer.

This quaint town is located about 13 miles from Keene, which is in the southwestern part of New Hampshire. In 1771 Governor John Wentworth named the city Dublin after his birthplace in Ireland.

The historic district of Dublin Village is largely intact, so you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The classic red Thomas Building is the headquarters of Yankee Magazine, which has been circulating since 1935.

The Dublin Community Church, built in 1852, is the centerpiece of the historic village.

Nature lovers will find the serene Dublin Pond just a mile west of the historic district, so be sure to check it out. Here you can fish, kayak or just admire the beautiful scenery.

Several hiking trails start in Dublin and head towards Monadnock Mountain, which is southern New Hampshire’s most prominent peak. Explore the Dublin or Pumpelly trails, but note that these trails are rated as difficult to very difficult.

If you have a sweet tooth, you have to stop by Morning Star Maple. They make their own maple products and sell a variety of goodies.

Locals are loyal to the Dublin General Store and for good reason. They serve delicious sandwiches, delicious cookies, and a host of local produce and staples.
