Vrbo unveils UK Holiday Homes of the Year for the first time

United Kingdom: Expedia Group vacation rental brand Vrbo has unveiled the first ever Vrbo holiday homes of the year in the UK.

All properties on the list can be booked through Vrbo – subject to availability – and meet strict selection criteria, including a combination of five-star ratings, guest reviews, number of bookings and property status. They also offer a wide range of features to suit a variety of needs and preferences, whether it’s direct beach access, outdoor living with a hot tub, or beds for young families.

Holiday Home of the Year lists have been announced in Australia and New Zealand for the past ten years and Vrbo is now launching the recognition initiative in the UK just in time for summer.

Vrbo’s list of holiday homes of the year 2022 in the UK is as follows:

North Norfolk, England

Thursford Castle is the result of a Gothic chapel restoration project located in the countryside, a 15-minute drive from the coast. Featured on Grand Designs, the property sleeps eight [four bedrooms] from £3,942.57 for three nights.

Hook Norton, Oxfordshire

Scotland End Barn has a dedicated games room and folding doors in the living room which open onto the west facing terrace where you can enjoy glorious sunsets all year round whilst its host surprises guests. guests leaving treats and personal touches around the house. The property can accommodate ten people [five bedrooms] from £1,548.40 for two nights.

Tenby, Wales

Manor House is a Grade 2 listed building built around 1840 with 180 degree sea views towards Caldey Island, comprising three large reception rooms, outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. The property can accommodate 25 people [14 bedrooms] from £5,324 for three nights.

Kilmarnock, Scotland

Carnell, a 500-year-old Scottish castle of the Clan Wallace, encompasses 2,000 acres of gardens, parks and farms and has a tennis court, croquet lawn, pond, river where you can fish, shooting and golf courses nearby. A full house staff also looks after guests, providing twice-daily housekeeping, meals and beverages. The property can accommodate 20 people [ten bedrooms] from £6,540 for two nights.

Newquay, Cornwall

In addition to offering direct access to Crantock Beach, Cliff House spans 4,500 square feet of space, including its own indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, small gym, two lounges, and a large kitchen with an aga stove and a wine fridge. Vrbo also revealed that many properties listed are located in the most searched UK destinations for summer 2022.
