the hotel is housed in an existing structure completely renovated by asti architetti. meanwhile, the architectural project of interiors and exteriors of milano vertical|una esperienza was made by vudafieri-saverino partnerswho followed the concept of the hotel as a new urban invention for exchange, encounter and socialization.

‘not just interior design, it’s also a reflection on our new sense of time and space, our sharing of social, work and play experiences, in a setting with great visual and physical personality. the result is a hotel where the visual identity, interior design, tone of voice, reception areas and entertainment tell a unique, shared and coherent story,’ explain the designers.

the use of multicolored marble and local stone references Milanese design

the hotel’s interiors pay homage to Milanese design

the interiors are a contemporary reinterpretation of the Milanese design tradition, with references to the elegant modernity of the post-war city masters, evident in numerous details such as the use of multicolored marble and local stone. in the lobby, reception, lounge and hall, the storytelling is entrusted to marble walls, ceilings covered in different hues and a large double-height space that opens onto the interior garden. of course, the hotel also celebrates the tradition of hidden courtyards that the city is proud of.

With all these references, it becomes clear that Milano Vertical was designed as an extension of the city, as an urban device with equipment on the ground floor that only reinforces this dialogue. for this reason, the structure becomes permeable, as the entire island is redeveloped.

the materialistic continuity of the common spaces crosses the 12 floors and in the rooms. the careful choice of minimal materials makes the architectural language more harmonious. in these private rooms, the floors are in ceramic stone and parquet in dark oak, the walls in marmorino plaster divided into large areas of color and the headboards in ribbed walnut wood.

another highlight of the hotel is its 530 m² rooftop on the 13th floor, exclusive to the four penthouse suites. these rooms benefit from the large panoramic terraces as well as the Jacuzzi swimming pools. these can be fully customized to meet different needs and can be modulated according to use. if necessary, they can even be transformed into personalized individual apartments offering a 360° view over the rooftops of the city!
