By now, most people know Brad Pitt’s roots in Missouri. However, many don’t realize that he also went to Mizzou where he performed on stage and also sang a lot. There is a rare video showing some of his performances on the Mizzou stage.
The only video I can find of brad pitt to Mizzou is this one from 1983. The YouTube status explains what guy Brad is:
Brad Pitt plays the beaver in a Leave it to Beaver, and his house (the Sigma Chi’s) won!
Brad’s role begins in the classroom scene, then when he does “Jailhouse Rock” solo, he’s also “The Beaver” in the Leave it to Beaver parody.
One of my cousins was at Mizzou during Brad’s time there in 1983 and knew him through fraternity/sorority interactions. She confirmed it was a riot at the time.
A surprising fact is that Brad Pitt left Mizzou just 2 weeks before graduating pursue his acting dreams in Los Angeles. He drove limos before getting his big break in Thelma and Louise in 1991 as Insider recalls.
Although brad pitt became an international celebrity, he hasn’t forgotten where he comes from and recently sent his personal congratulations to Missouri State graduates.
