This is the time of year when some of us residents of the northern United States wish to live somewhere else. Winter is not our favorite time of year. We could do without snow, ice, cold, etc.
But there are many reasons we stay, including our job, it’s where our family lives, and we love the Northeastern United States for all other seasons of the year. We deal with far fewer extreme weather issues than many parts of the country.

But if you could move anywhere else, where would it be? In the US I would choose somewhere in the Carolinas or the Southwest like Utah, Arizona or New Mexico.

The top choice for moving to another state for New Yorkers is Hawaii according to the to study. Sure, Hawaii is a great choice for its warm weather, beaches, and beauty, but isn’t it a bit expensive to live there?

Guide to family destinations reports that 14% of New York residents have seriously considered leaving the state in the past year, and some of the reasons for moving include the weather, a healthier lifestyle, as well as better employment and compensation opportunities.
Where would Pennsylvanians move?
Pennsylvanians surveyed chose Florida as their top US destination, and their top global destination would be Italy. I like this idea.
