If you want to stay in downtown Willemstad (and you are not accompanied by children), Botanical Kura is the perfect choice. This is a new adults-only boutique hotel located in one of the UNESCO World Heritage buildings. If you go for Legacy and Sea View, Avila Beach Hotel is the oldest resort on the island and close to downtown and private beaches. But for a luxurious feel and resort perks, Zoetry Curacao Resort & Spa is our main recommendation.
First of all, the accommodations are absolutely beautiful and only ten minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from downtown. There are several places to relax outdoors, including a spacious pool adjacent to an open-air restaurant and bar. The lobby bar is manned by cool, friendly mixologists, and it’s delightfully airy, thanks to open doors on either side, so even when you’re relaxing inside, you’ll still feel immersed in nature. The restaurant on site, Bloom, is also a great place to have a meal. (Think Curaçao cuisine with an international twist, much of it Latin.)
