You can actually stay in the Italian villas featured in season 3 of “Succession”

If you enjoyed HBO’s third season Succession As much as we did, you would also have enjoyed swimming in the sumptuous mansions that hosted the Roy family during their eventful stay in Italy. No less than three different areas have been featured in the most recent episodes of the series; ranging from the warmth of Tuscany to the more cosmopolitan atmosphere of Lake Como, all united by architectural threads of effortless sophistication and a life well lived. Fortunately for die-hard fans of Succession, this exact trio of villas – which represent the best of what Italy has to offer – are all available for rent (if you know where to look).

Full disclosure, the residences in this exclusive are not of the type you’ll find on Airbnb. Instead, they need a little local help planning a stay, whether you’re a newbie plebeian like Greg the Egg or a certified big dog like Logan Roy (played by Brian Cox). Even the team behind Succession need the advice of luxury travel consultant Emily FitzRoy, as recently revealed during her interview with Hollywood journalist.

FitzRoy – the founder of the bespoke luxury travel company Bellini trip – worked in close collaboration with the Succession production team to bring this season’s scenes set in Italy to life, ensuring unprecedented access to properties never before seen by audiences.

“I just figured out that my last name means ‘bastard son of the Roy family’,” she explained.

“I think it was fate that I got involved.”

One of the most impressive properties of this season of Succession was Villa La Cassinella, located on the western shores of Lake Como and accessible only by water. For reference, this is the villa where GoJo founder and CEO Lukas Matsson (played by Alexander Skarsgard) hides, entertaining both Logan and Roman Roy (played by Kieran Culkin) as they negotiate a possible acquisition that has become fusion.

“I love it because you can only get there by boat, and it’s extremely private despite being in the heart of Lake Como,” adds FitzRoy.

The gorgeous waterfront property can accommodate a full house of 17 people, with a primary residence with an infinity pool and real gold reflective tiles, a gym, cinema, and even an additional townhouse. “Best of all,” as Matsson of Skarsgard himself would describe.

The real star of this season of Succession, however, was La Foce – an enchanting estate in the heart of Tuscany. The crew spent three weeks filming on location for the wedding scenes; a central part of the story involving the English mother of 3/4 Roy’s children / Logan Roy’s ex-wife Lady Caroline Collingwood (played by Harriet Walter), and her union with Peter Munion. La Foce can accommodate 24 people and offers seemingly endless gardens to explore.

“The gardens are the most beautiful in all of Italy – ironically, designed by an Englishman. He invented the beautiful, winding cypress alley you see on every postcard. ”

The three Succession villas in Italy are now available for rent through FitzRoy’s Bellini trip with a price tag, you would expect to receive the Roys seal of approval. We are talking about six figures per week minimum. Well worth the breathtaking views and carefully curated interiors, if you ask me.
