You can now spend the night on Canada’s infamous Theodore The Tugboat

Airbnb announced this week that, for the first time ever, guests will be able to spend a night aboard Theodore TOO; the smiling 65-foot Canadian redhead tug. The Halifax tugboat recently moved to Hamilton Harbor in Hamilton, Ontario, where it is among the world’s craziest 30,000 listings in Airbnb’s latest report. OH MY GOD! Category.

Theodore TOO was originally built in Daysprings, Nova Scotia over twenty years ago in 2000, but now works as a marine industry ambassador and Great Lakes guide – and guests lucky enough to book the Airbnb listing will be for an unforgettable aquatic adventure. The full-size tugboat will take guests on a cruise through Hamilton Harbor where they will have the opportunity to learn all about the bay and indulge in local Hamilton specialties from small businesses across the city.

The evening will be spent lounging on the deck as the sun sets and enjoying movie night under the stars (with saltwater taffy and local snacks, of course!). The beds are comfortable and compact; designed with Canadiana in mind as a nod to Theodore’s Haligonian roots.

“Our crew is lucky enough to spend the summer cruising the Great Lakes aboard the friendliest tugboat in Canada, which is why I’m so excited for fans of Theodore TOO to have the chance to take part in his adventures. !” Captain Noah shared in a press release. Release. “As an Airbnb host, I look forward to showing you around Theodore TOO from bow to stern and port to starboard, and taking you on your own Big Harbor adventure for one night.”

Guests will have the chance to book two individual one-night stays on September 10 and 11, 2022, for just CA$22 per night (a nod to Théodore TOO’s 22nd birthday!). Reservations will open starting Monday, August 29, 2022 at 12 p.m. ET at airbnb.com/theodoretoo.
