You can now stay in an Airbnb inspired by Winnie the Pooh
Are you a lifelong Winnie the Pooh fan?
Well, now you can stay in a Winnie the Pooh inspired home in the Hundred Acre Wood thanks to Airbnb.
Within the framework of Celebrating Disney’s 95th anniversary of the adorable children’s character, guests can now experience Pooh’s world.
The Bearbnb is located in Ashdown Forest and is inspired by the original tales of AA Milne.
There are two separate stays available on September 24 and 25, and the house can accommodate up to four people at a time.
The host of the Airbnb stay is Disney-appointed Winnie the Pooh illustrator Kim Raymond, who has organized the Bearbnb and has been drawing the iconic bear for over 30 years.
Kim brought Pooh’s house to life using EH Shepard’s original decorations.
“I have illustrated Winnie the Pooh for 30 years and continue to be inspired by classic EH Shepard decorations and more recent Disney stories,” he said.
“The ‘Bearbnb’ is a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh to life for fans, while honoring the original adventures that have been so important to so many for 95 years.”
Winnie the Pooh inspiration runs through every corner of the Airbnb Special.
If guests take a peek inside the kitchen cupboard, they’re sure to find shelves full of jars of honey. While the house is built with exposed tree branches wrapped around the doorway with ‘Mr. Sanders’ listed above.
The house is also fully equipped for a relaxing holiday. There is a double bed on the ground floor and a mezzanine with two comfortable single beds.
The living area has comfortable seating and a dining area for guests to enjoy a “smaquereau” or two.
During each stay, guests will take a guided tour of the original hundred-acre woodland, play Poohsticks on the iconic Poohsticks Bridge, and sample local honey-based dishes.
The “Bearbnb” will also be stocked with wellness products to help customers enjoy the natural environment and live more like Pooh. Yoga mats, newspapers, and throws are available to help you enjoy a slower pace of life.
“Winnie the Pooh is a childhood gem loved by families around the world,” said Catherine Powell, head of accommodation at Airbnb.
“This year, the original books are celebrating their 95th anniversary. What better way to commemorate AA Milne’s classic work than with these two unique stays in the original Hundred Acre Woods.
‘A perfect place to do nothing.’
