You Can Stay in a Haunted Cottage Inspired by Airbnb’s “Hocus Pocus”… If You Dare

The Sanderson sisters’ spooky cottage has been recreated as an Airbnb to celebrate Disney’s “Hocus Pocus 2,” their sequel to the original 1993 “Hocus Pocus” movie.

“To mark their highly anticipated return in Disney’s Hocus Pocus 2, the infamous sisters invite guests to enter an enchanted land with a one-of-a-kind stay in their creaky old cottage,” Airbnb wrote on its website.

True to wizarding form, the humble and welcoming hovel is located in the woods of Salem, Massachusetts.

“We all know that the Sanderson Sisters story might not have ended when we crumbled to dust, nor would our shenanigans,” said Kathy Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson in both films. “What better way to celebrate the season than welcoming guests to the trio’s historic haunt for a night they’ll remember for years to come?”

Airbnb further described the weird experience as a complete experience with details from the “Hocus Pocus” world.

“Wood planks that groan under the weight of curious cats and cupboards filled with owl blood and red grass (and even a hair from Winifred’s head) await those who dare to explore the dark corners of the cottage,” reads site advertising.

Before their stay, visitors can explore Salem in all its gruesome glory, watch the spooky sequel, September 30, and even try their hand at enchantments around the cauldron. A replica of the infamous Book of Sisters is available for spellcasting attempts, but Najimy has warned visitors not to mess with the old tome.

“Don’t open this book – there is a book of witchcraft, but I wouldn’t open it if I were them,” she said CNN immersive experience.

Fans of the original film and those waiting for the sequel 30 years in the making are sure to enjoy their time in the witches’ mansion.

“It’s going to be unique and scary – kinda like me,” Najimy continued. “The entire chalet will have all of the Sanderson touches. But they’ll have the things people need to have a good time, sheets and towels and beds and brooms and dead man’s toes and spooky things like that too. Truly wild and lively recreation.

The cottage nestled in Sanderson Woods will be available as an Airbnb listing on October 12 at 1 p.m. ET. The exclusive stay will take place on October 20 for two people at $31 a night – plus taxes and fees – to celebrate All Saints’ Day.

The stay is not a contest, as the cottage is privately owned and operated.
