1. black stone invested $5 million in Miami colleges. “What we saw in Miami is a vdiverse and vibrant community with a growing ecosystem of technology and financial services,” said Blackstone Chief Financial Officer Michael Chae. Miami-Dade College and CRF are the only two current sites in South Florida to have partnered with Blackstone. (WPLG Local 10)

2. One former OnlyFans influencer in Miami, was accused of killing her boyfriend, will remain behind bars after a judge denied his release. She potentially faces life in prison. Both families were in court for the hearing but declined to comment. (WSVN)

3. Airbnb announced a crackdown on unauthorized New Year’s parties in Miami and other American cities. Airbnb said more than 1,450 people in Miami were deterred by various anti-party defenses from booking entire home listings last New Year’s Eve. (NBCMiami)

4. Completion of the new Miami– Dade courthouse should happen by end of January 2024. The project is currently on budget and is expected to cost $262,767,000. It is expected to have 46 courtrooms and space for four additional rooms. (miami today)

5. The University of Miami plans to build a $100 Million Football Operations Center, according to a request with the City of Coral Gables. Groundbreaking is currently scheduled to begin in 2023, with completion expected in 2025. (The next Miami)
