10 Airbnb rentals in Madrid for less than $ 100
Spain and colocation sites are currently not on the best terms. From Barcelona to Madrid, cities impose stricter regulations on tenants; the latter recently attempted to require a minimum stay of five nights in private apartments. Even so, there are hundreds of rentals available in the city for as little as one night, with entire rentals averaging $ 81 and private rooms just $ 33. Here are 10 of our favorite private rentals in the Spanish capital.

This bright apartment effortlessly blends modern and old styles for a look that feels right at home in Madrid’s trendy, gay-friendly Chueca neighborhood. The space is filled with personal touches, like a Chesterfield sofa covered in gold tapestries from the host’s grandfather’s 1950s fabric company, and hand-painted tiles in the Seville bathroom. The central apartment is two minutes from Gran Via, the city’s most famous corridor dotted with shops, restaurants, bars and attractions.

A local photographer turned his studio into an apartment, and this lively space filled with art is the result. The small kitchen is stocked with coffee, fruit, snacks and even a welcome bottle of cava. You can entertain yourself with a collection of art books and films, or simply go out and enjoy the surrounding neighborhood of Malasaña. It is one block from San Ildefonso Square and a short walk from tourist attractions and several metro stations.

This stylish place in Chueca for four people with a private bedroom and a sofa bed. The kitchen is small but has all the basics, including an oven and fridge, and there is a dining area that seats four. Large windows let in plenty of light, but they also come with blackout blinds to make it easy to sleep late and take a nap. Past guests say hosts Abel and Emilio have the pulse of the hottest new places in town, so be sure to ask them for recommendations.

Multiple skylights flood every room with this two bedroom apartment with that famous Spanish sun. The main living space has a sitting area, dining area, and modern kitchen, and both bedrooms have queen-size beds. Half of the apartment faces the street, while the other half faces the building’s unique corrala (courtyard), which retains the Mediterranean charm of its early 1900s roots. Located in Lavapiés, the apartment is right in front of the ruins of Escuelas Pias and close to the Mercado San Miguel, which, according to host Guillermo, “offers the best tapas experience ever”.
