Barbarian trailer finds Georgina Campbell and Bill Skarsgard double-booked at an AirBnB

Georgina Campbell and Bill Skarsgard meet in unfortunate circumstances…which ultimately become the least of their problems in the new Barbarian trailer, in theaters August 31.

Campbell stars as Tess, a young woman who comes to town for a job interview and books an AirBnB, but once she arrives she discovers that Keith (Bill Skarsgard) has already booked the house.

She ends up staying the night while they try to figure out what happened…because they soon learn they have bigger problems than just double booking.

The caravan opens on a rainy night. Tess drags her luggage to the AirBnB house, dismayed to find there is no key in the trunk.

“Oh, are you kidding me,” Tess says before starting to ring the doorbell, when Keith responds with a “Yeah?”

“It’s 476 Barbary, isn’t it?” Tess asks, as Keith confirms, “Yeah, I’m renting this place.”

“No, I booked it a month ago,” Tess adds, as Keith asks, “Are you sure you’re in the right place? »

‘Yeah. What am I supposed to do?’ Tess asks, as Keith offers, “Why don’t you come inside, and we’ll call those idiots.”

After calling these idiots who apparently didn’t work out, Keith offers Tess to move in there for the night, although Tess initially refuses.

“I don’t know if you’ve seen this neighborhood right, but I don’t think you should be out there alone,” Keith says, as Tess peeks outside and doesn’t see much. -thing over there.

He offers to give her the room, saying, “It’s dry and there’s a lock on the door”, before officially introducing himself.

Keith says he’s going to sleep on the living room couch, while Tess finds her wallet and takes a picture of her ID…just in case, before collapsing on the bed.

Later that night – although Tess has clearly locked the door – she wakes up to hear the door open, and as she turns towards the open door, she hears footsteps fleeing from her room.

Tess heads to the basement, where she finds a rope sticking out of the wall which she pulls, revealing a secret door that opens.

She’s making her way through this secret area when she hears Keith shout, “Help me!”

Tess uses her phone’s flashlight to light the way down the old staircase as she screams for Keith again and he simply says, “Help!”

She continues to crawl down the hall when Keith comes out of the darkness, startling her.

A small room is shown with a VHS tape shoved into a VCR as a narrator on the tape is heard saying, “This process can feel overwhelming.”

She is seen in another hallway when she finds Justin Long’s character with a flashlight, who looks just as terrified as her.

The trailer ends with the time-lapse shots when the narrator says, “But with a little practice, it can be an enjoyable experience.”

The trailer ends with a shot of an idyllic house, seemingly from the 1950s, as the narrator adds, “It’s perfectly natural,” as the trailer draws to a close.
