A luxurious treehouse near Bar Harbor is beautiful and for rent
Fantasy Treehouse
Was there anything like a treehouse when you were a kid? Either you had one (lucky one), wanted one, or in most cases tried unsuccessfully to build one. They were the ultimate fantasy.
Treehouses go to Hollywood
Who doesn’t remember the mansion-like treehouse from “Swiss Family Robinsonor the sweet setup of any version of Peter Pan? There’s no doubt that Hollywood has made the treehouses even cooler.
Even as we get older, we don’t lose that passion for high-end elm living. I’ve seen a lot of treehouses built by Gen X parents, and there are even a show dedicated to craftsmanship. Treehouse culture is here to stay, and in a big way.
Treehouse rental
Although most of us still don’t have a nice treehouse, we were luckily saved by Airbnb and other rental sites. Finding hip places to stay, including Maple Mansions, has never been easier.
I decided to do a search and ended up finding the property in Hancock, Maine. This 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath “treehouse” is a must-have rental for any oak abode connoisseur.
Make no mistake, this is a stay in a luxurious home. It’s 900 square feet of beautiful wood walls and features. The tree house has a usable kitchen, an incredible living room with dining area, a loft bedroom, a master suite, an enclosed patio, a state-of-the-art bathroom with Jacuzzi and even an outdoor shower. The place is simply beautiful.
Starting at $817 a night, it’s a perfect spot for a couple or even a family of six.
The Treehouse is hosted by Angie and Haze, and can be booked here.
