A man who grew up in Will Ferrell’s golden age of cinema was caught off guard today after realizing he was about to hit his nasty thirties.

After trying to enjoy a romantic weekend with his new girlfriend, The Advocate understands that 29-year-old Jacob Hacking received a shock after exploring the shelves of his AirBnb campaign.

Opening the doors of a rustic white TV cabinet, Jacob’s would have discovered a collection of antique treasures, a large collection of DVDs to compensate for AirBnbB’s spotty wi-fi signal.

Glancing through the row of beautifully arranged DVDs, Jacob was hit with a strong slap of nostalgia upon discovering the names of some of his favorite movie titles.

“Oh baby, they have DVDs! he shouted, craning his neck against the cupboard and getting on all fours like a Maltese terrier.

“They’ve got Inception, Legally Blonde, Pirates of the Caribbean…hell, they’ve even got CSI: Miami Season 1!”

After rolling his index finger along the backs of the impressive collection, Jacob’s eyes are thought to have landed on a movie that gave him particular butterflies in his stomach, the 2007 sports comedy Blades of Glory.

A film starring Will Ferrell and the guy from Napoleon Dynamite, The Advocate understands that Jacob was hit with a flurry of emotions, as he reminisces about the first time he was allowed to go to the movies alone, flanked by the company of four pals and a $2 coin to buy a pack of Wizz Fizz.

Blowing dust off the DVD case as if the film were an ancient Egyptian relic, Jacob’s heart sank as he began to calculate how long it had been since “Ferrell-ism”, the film’s acclaimed period of filmmaking. review in which each comedy starred Will Ferrell and featured a Ben Stiller cameo.

“Wait, if this was posted in 2007, I was only in 9th grade,” he whispered, drawing some ballpark numbers in his head.

“How the fuck am I turning 30 next year…”

More soon.
