From the outside, it looks like any other ordinary library.
But two British travelers were blown away when they discovered a hidden door behind the unassuming cabinet that led to a secret room.

Grace Grundy and her friend were about to leave their Airbnb accommodation in Wales, UK, when they found the huge hidden room – complete with sofas, a piano, table football and a fireplace.
“Look what we just found in our Airbnb, literally last day,” Grace said in a viral post. TikTok Video.
“We packed up to leave and realized that the library was a secret door… What?!
The video shows her friend opening the door – with Grace reacting in shock.
“Just think it’s a bookshelf…all good, nothing to see here…What? Oh my god, where is he going? Grace can be heard saying in the footage.
“Oh my god, it’s a secret room and a secret door.”
Last minute adventure
After sharing the video, many were stunned at how the friends “didn’t notice a whole side of the building” while there.
“Really, we haven’t noticed the hinges all week, which is ridiculous, and we haven’t even browsed the Airbnb listing,” Grace explained.
“We basically found this little place at the last minute. We said to ourselves: ‘Let’s go, let’s go on an adventure’.
“So we went and it’s all in the woods.”
Upon checking in, the girls realized that the property they had booked had “many different buildings” where other guests were staying.
“That’s why we didn’t think the shape of the building was weird,” Grace said.
“In hindsight the hinges are so obvious, the lamp was in front of that piece though…so it took us so long to spot them.”
She added, “It’s a communal area but it’s such a cool place. We had the best time of our lives.
“Now you all know you can enter this cool secret room.”
What is the “secret room”?
According to Airbnb Listingthe “Secret Room” is actually a common area called “Long Barn” which is available to all guests during their stay.
Interestingly, the bookcase leading to the hidden space was not mentioned in the ad.
One of the images in the listing shows the library in question sitting behind a sofa and a floor lamp.
His video has been viewed over 1.5 million times – and many were amazed by the hidden piece.
“Very cool and so surprisingly big. I’m shocked,” one woman said.
Another joked: ‘Imagine if the owners were just sitting in front of the TV when you opened the door to their house.
One added: ‘POV: Landlord hears you come into his house and run for cover.’
While another said, “This is so cool and looks fabulous.”
“Obvious” function
Meanwhile, many insisted they would have noticed the ‘hinges’ instantly upon arrival.
“I would have discovered that in the first half hour, the first thing I do in an Airbnb is scour every little nook looking for treasures,” one woman said.
Another wrote: “It’s not that secret with the obvious hinges – but it’s pretty cool.”
While one added: “Although slightly amusing, the obvious visible hinges and space give it away.”
