Following the acquisition of Luxury Retreats in 2017, Airbnb will launch Beyond by Airbnb this spring, offering the most upscale accommodations on the platform (read: lots and lots of villas). In addition to Beyond, Airbnb today launched another level of luxury listings with 2,000 avant-garde design homes in 13 cities around the world. All Airbnb Plus the houses have been checked in person against a 100 point checklist for quality, cleanliness and style to provide a consistent and comfortable experience from one ad to the next.
While cleanliness and certain amenities like fully equipped kitchens and fluffy towels in each bathroom will be standardized in each Airbnb Plus, homes will all feature their own unique design elements that showcase the host’s personal style and of the location.
You can book Airbnb Plus accommodations starting today in Austin, Barcelona, Cape Town, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Melbourne, Milan, Rome, San Francisco, Shanghai, Sydney and Toronto. On average, these ads are averaging around $ 250 per night.
By mid-2018, Airbnb Plus listings will also be in Athens, Auckland, Bali, Beijing, Chengdu, Crete, Lisbon, Mexico City, Montreal, Phoenix, Prague, Riviera Maya. Airbnb aims to have 75,000 of these premium listings in 50 cities around the world by the end of the year.
