Birmingham Bowl Pep Rally

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The Bud Light Fan Fest Pep Rally took place today from 1-6pm in Birmingham city centre.

When I went there earlier in the day, people were already starting to gather for live music, games, food and drinks.

Several events will take place throughout the day in this area, you can join the coaches and players for a pre-match cheer rally on the main stage for both teams from 5pm and 5.30pm.

Earlier today, I spoke with Christina Pinson who brought her family to celebrate Christmas.

Pinson said they survive freezing temperatures thanks to the five layers of clothing they wear.

Now normally this game is played earlier in the day, and I asked Pinson if she was concerned about the temperatures with the game taking place at night.

“That was a concern we had with the weather, because it will be nighttime and the temperatures are going to drop,” Pinson said. “You definitely have to be careful and prepared to sit for that long and there might not be a lot of turnout because of that, but I hope so.”

Pinson said they were trying to stay active and keep their blood flowing as they waited for the fireworks display at the end of the cheer rally.
