Camp Capella’s Polar Dip fundraiser will be spooky
Another fundraiser for a children’s camp in Maine.
Camp Cabella in Dedham Maine is soliciting for their annual winter event.
No, they don’t put eggs in snowsuits to raise money, that’s Pine Tree Camp. Camp Capella does something much more sensible. Do you think it’s been cold the last few days? How about a Polar Dip? Brr.
The event is on Saturday, February 26and.
Will be held in person at Camp Capella in Dedham. Or to hold virtually. The in person dive will have covid restrictions. All information is available by emailing Rebecca at campcapella.org.
In any case, you must pre-register online. Here are the links for the camp Facebook pageWhere their website.
Camp Capella “enhances the life experiences of people with disabilities”.
Learning experiences, recreational activities and fun too. Imagine what camp does for campers’ self-awareness, growth and development.
And the Polar Dip is one of the largest nonprofit Camp Capella fundraisers each year.
You don’t need to dive to help. You can donate without doing something as chilling as jumping Phillips Lake in February. Even knowing that when you get out of the freezing water you can jump in the hot tub to warm up.
You can even help others raise funds by becoming a Jittery Jumper, which means you’ll pay to not experience those freezing water temperatures.
I hope the event is a lot of fun and that the good you all do will warm your heart, if not your whole body that day.
