Canada’s Largest Plant-Based Lifestyle Expo Returns to Vancouver June 4-5

June 4and and 5andnotable speakers, special events and more than 200 plant companies will come together for a weekend of education and enlightenment at Expo planted in Vancouver.

“Public awareness continues to grow about how plant-based choices can positively impact lives,” said Stevan Mirkovich, co-owner and relationship manager of PlantedLlife.com. “A plant-based lifestyle is more than what you eat, it’s also about lifestyle choices. At Planted Expo, attendees can hear speakers on ways to improve their own lives and learn how these lifestyle changes can affect the world around them.

Planted Expo brought together leading voices from the culinary, scientific and fitness worlds to talk about the importance of plant-based choices. These insightful, informative and inspiring speakers will be at Planted Expo alongside 200 plant-based edibles and lifestyle companies.

Adds Mirkovich, “Planted Expo in November was a huge success in Vancouver, underscoring the desire for people wanting to learn more about plant-based options. We are excited to bring this event back to Vancouver in June and expect even more public interest now that many provincial health restrictions have been lifted.

Planted Expo attendees will have the opportunity to discover the many ways they can incorporate plant-based choices into their daily lives. Two big-name speakers coming to Vancouver in June are filmmaker/director Ali Tabrizi and Vegan Women Summit founder Jennifer Stojkovic.

Ali Tabrizi is a filmmaker and director best known for his Netflix Original documentary Marine suction. Growing up on the south east coast of England, he spent much of his early childhood exploring the world with his camera, dreaming of the ocean and the world hidden beneath the waves. His teenage years were spent learning about global issues and studying art and design and art history at Canterbury College, followed by his own interest in teaching filmmaking himself. This interest, combined with his desire to expose the truth about environmental issues, led him to create the Netflix Original documentary, Seaspiracy. He continues to share these truths through talks.

Jennifer Stojkovic has built her career as an internationally renowned community relations leader for the world’s largest technology companies in the innovation capital, San Francisco. Throughout her career in technology, Jennifer has become increasingly interested in combining her passion for change in the food system with her experience and network in Silicon Valley. In early 2018, Jennifer launched a series of “Future of Food” partnerships bringing together CEOs and founders of major tech brands, including WeWork and Airbnb, with emerging CEOs from the burgeoning food tech industry to make food the “Tech 2.0”. In early 2020, she launched the Vegan Women Summit, the world’s first media and event organization dedicated to empowering, educating and inspiring women to bring compassion to their careers.
