Cedar Falls Aquatic Center Sees Dramatic Cost Drop

Cedar Falls City Council is already looking to summer. At a recent City Council meeting, the Recreation and Community Programs Division proposed fee changes for Cedar Falls Aquatics Center passholders, according to reports.

These changes result in a SIGNIFICANT reduction in the price of the pass. Passes will cost a fraction of the price they have cost in recent years.

Here’s what the modified costs of the various passes will look like for 2022 compared to 2021 prices:

Adult Pass (Resident)

2022 ~ $130

Adult pass (non-resident)

Child Pass (Resident)

Over the past few summers, pass prices have increased significantly.

This new proposal will eliminate the family pass that the establishment has offered for years. The main reason for this deletion, according to reports, involves discrepancies on what constitutes a family.

Additionally, these changes will include an increase in the “daily hospitality fee” according to reports.

We reported this summer that The Falls Aquatic Center would close early for the season. This was due to the lack of staff this summer. The aquatic center closed for the season on August 14, 2022.
