Cottage Grove police want to know who’s leaving notes everywhere

Someone in Cottage Grove, Minnesota either dealt with drug dealers in their neighborhood or took revenge on an individual. The Cottage Grove Police Department asks for help in tracking down the individual who is leaving these notes all over town. Although blacked out in the photos, the notes indicate that an individual in the area is a heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine dealer.

Many community members are leaving comments on posts left in the area, trying to figure out who might be doing it.

Some of the comments may indicate an elderly person who may be in the early stages of dementia. The person who made this comment was in the nursing field and said that sometimes older people get paranoid and can be paranoid about the postman.

Detective asks if anyone has seen this fixed item in someone’s house.

The Cottage Grove Police Department is asking for the public’s help in trying to locate the person who has posted these messages in random places over the past year.

The notes were left in areas near Cub Foods and Walmart. They say it is part of an ongoing harassment investigation and they acknowledge they may never find out who is doing it, but want to see an end to the harassment.

If anyone has a tip on who might be doing this, they ask you to contact Detective Jared Landkamer at 651.458.6046.
