Gas tank far from Texarkana Bethesda Pointe Lake Cabin

The first day of spring is March 20, and with gas prices soaring, I continue my quest to find some of the best places to stay in Arkansas that will only cost you a tank of gas far from Texarkana. Have you heard of Lake Bethesda in Mena, it is home to Bethesda Pointe Lakeside Cabin.

Bethesda Pointe Cabin

This beautiful 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom lake view cabin sits on a hill overlooking historic Lake Bethesda, an 11-acre all-fish spring-fed lake. Not only can you fish, but you can kayak this beautiful lake in the kayaks provided during your stay.

There is also a private cove with a swimming hole nearby! The Bethesda Pointe Cabin is nestled on the border of the US National Forest with many hiking trails and mountain biking trails to Wolf Pen Gap Trail. You can bring your ATV or rent one and they will deliver it to your cabin. And if you have to go into town, Mena is only 4 miles down the road.

Bethesda Springs

There are two springs that were tapped in the late 1800s and guests staying here can enjoy the scenic waterfalls just yards from the cabin.

The cabin

A large living room with an open floor plan with great lake views along with a dining area and kitchen with high end appliances.

There’s even a flat-screen TV with YouTube and free Wi-Fi.

Step out onto the wraparound porch or back deck for sweeping views of the Ouachita Mountains and lake views that will leave you feeling at peace.

The outdoor lounge has a huge hot tub with incredible views. Imagine relaxing in this hot tub with the person you love.

And a fire pit with a great view of the lake and a charcoal grill.

The bedrooms

Bethesda Pointe has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths and a bunk room that has 4 double beds and sleeps up to 12 people.

Lakeside Cabin Bethesda Pointe

So there you have it, whether you’re just looking for a honeymoon getaway, a family reunion, or just a family vacation, you can’t go wrong staying at the Bethesda Pointe Lakeside Cabin just 2 hours from Texarkana.

Start planning now by consulting their Airbnb website Where website. Bethesda Pointe is part of the Stonehill Cottages family I mentioned recently.

LOOK: Here are the best lakeside towns to live in

Many of the towns included jump out at the casual observer as popular summer rental spots – Branson of the Ozarks, Missouri or Lake Havasu in Arizona – it might surprise you to dive deeper into some quality of life offerings at beyond the beach and vacation homes. You’ll likely learn about a wide range of Americana: one of the last 1950s-style drive-ins in the Midwest; a Florida town that began as a retirement area for Civil War veterans; an island teeming with some of the nation’s best public schools and revenue streams smack dab in the middle of a lake between Seattle and Bellevue; and even a California town containing more than the prison blues of Johnny Cash.
