SEATTLE, December 20, 2022 /CNW/ — For Holland America Line 2024 Europe seasonthe cruise line is adding several new itineraries that combine regions, increasing the number of voyages of 14 days or more and improving North Europe with new departure ports. From April to November, dozens of unique itineraries – ranging from seven to 35 days – will be offered on two of the line’s Pinnacle-class ships, Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam, as well as Oosterdam and Zuiderdam.
Holland America line add new North Europe and Mediterranean cruise itineraries and home ports for 2024.
Holland America Line’s four ships will cover the entire region on voyages designed for cultural immersion. Nine overnight ports and 33 late-night departure cities provide more time ashore as ships explore the BalticBritish Isles, Canary Islands, French and Spanish Riviera, IsraelMediterranean and North Europeincluding Iceland, Greenland and Norway.

In May, Zuiderdam sails a 14 days North Europe cruise that explores Norway, Germany, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Denmarkfollowed by a 21-day “Ultimate Viking Explorer” trip around Iceland, Greenland and Scotland, both round trip from Ijmuiden. Both itineraries can be combined to form a 35-day stay that includes 10 countries, 23 ports and is in a prime location for the summer solstice.

Zuiderdam sails from Ijmuiden to Boston in June on a 21-day “Viking Passage” cruise that includes exploring Norway, Iceland, Greenland and Canada. This departure can be combined with “Ultimate Viking Explorer” from Zuiderdam to form a 42-day collector’s voyage with 21 unique ports and 26 stopovers in total.
THE CANARY ISLANDS

NieuwStatendam returns to the the Canary Islands on a 14-day cruise departing April 21th round trip from rotterdamalso including Madeira, Gibraltar and Spain.
MEDITERRANEAN

Oosterdam will sail the entire 2024 European season in the Mediterranean on flexible round-trip cruises from Athensor between Barcelona, Trieste, Civitavecchia and Piraeus. Itineraries vary from seven to 14 days and cover the eastern and western Mediterranean, including Greece, Turkey, Tunisia, Israel, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, France and Spain.

Nieuw Statendam sails on 14-day cruises between Civitavecchia and Piraeus, and round trip from Piraeus. The routes head towards the eastern Mediterranean, including Italy, Egypt, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. Nieuw Statendam also explores the Holy Land on a 14-day cruise in October that includes an overnight stay in Haifa.

The popular “Voyage des Vikings” returns in 2024 aboard Zuiderdam. Departure July 2035-day adventure sails round trip from Boston and stopovers in the ports of Maine, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland, Ireland, North Ireland and Norway. The itinerary is also offered in 17 and 18 day segments from Boston to rotterdam or of rotterdam to Boston.
