Locals list favorite venues for children’s parties in South Jersey

Let me start by saying this: I am NOT a parent. There, I said it. Now let’s move on.

Although I don’t have children of my own, I have helped organize and plan quite a few children’s birthday parties in my day. I can say one thing about this: if your child’s big day falls during the summer months, it’s probably much easier to throw the party.

Summer birthdays are always easier to plan compared to birthdays that fall during the winter months. For one, not everyone is in school, so you don’t really have to plan school activities, sports, etc. Second, it seems there are so many more options in terms of venues when planning a summer birthday party.

When I was little, if someone’s birthday was in the summer, you could (almost) always expect a pool party.

Well, the summer of 2022 has passed here in South Jersey and it’s time to bring the parties indoors. Now the temperatures will stay relatively bearable until probably early December, but depending on how long you plan to have a party, you might not want to host it somewhere where you have to be outside all the time. time.

You can always count on social media to inspire you with this stuff. A South Jersey mum has asked a local Facebook group for recommendations on where she should hold her 5-year-old son’s birthday party. South of Jersey had a LOT of suggestions. That being said, it should also be clarified that three specific locations were the most suggested.

2.) Dave and Buster

Now this one is a bit of a drive, but drive up the Atlantic City Freeway and you can have your kid’s birthday party at Dave & Buster’s in Gloucester Township. It’s right next to Gloucester Outlets. Dave & Buster’s is always a great option for older kids and teens. Parents love it too. Check out their party options HERE.

1.) Funny Farm Rescue

If your birthday boy or girl has a thing for animals, you need to make plans with Laurie and the folks at Funny Farm in Mays Landing. This is the place that locals have suggested the most. It’s fun, interactive and gets kids out in the great outdoors for a while. You can request to organize a private event at the farm by submitting this form HERE.
