Matthew Lillard is hosting an Airbnb rental where fans can spend the night in a refurbished Mystery Machine.

Matthew Lillard truly is the healthiest gift that keeps on giving, as the actor just teamed up with Airbnb in the most iconic way possible.

To celebrate 20 years (!!) since the release of the cinematic masterpiece Scooby-Doo: The Movie, Shaggy actor and all-around legend Matthew has teamed up with Airbnb to host a listing that allows fans of the franchise to stay overnight in the Mystery Machine.

Not only is he coping with the experience, but he’s also dressed up in a very shaggy-but-make-it-2022 outfit and fans are absolutely living for the actor re-channeling the beloved character.

If you’re dying to stay in the Mystery Machine, you’ll need to act fast. Reservation opens at 1 p.m. ET Thursday, June 16. But there are only three nights available and only two guests are allowed for each night.

Those lucky enough to secure a stay in the Mystery Machine will be able to get the full Scooby-Doo experience, complete with a “virtual greeting” from Matthew himself upon arrival.

Based on the footage shared by Airbnb, there are plenty of Scooby-Doo movie references and throwbacks to the van. The stay also includes unlimited snacks, including Shaggy and Scooby classics like hot dogs and eggplant burgers. There is also a mystery for guests to solve during their stay.

The van also includes an exterior layout with lounge seating and hammock space to “vibe, safe from any monsters that might be lurking.” And at the end of the night, guests will be treated to a re-watch of the 2002 film complete with popcorn and, of course, Scooby Snacks.

On Instagram, Matthew also posted a video of himself – channeling his signature Shaggy voice – giving a mini tour of the Mystery Machine.

Besides indulging in the chance to stay in the Mystery Machine, fans are losing it for Matthew Lillard back in Shaggy’s signature green shirt and brown pants.

One Twitter user wrote: “I know this is Matthew Lillard just promoting an Airbnb BUT GO!!! A Scooby-Doo movie where they are older to solve one last mystery would be EVERYTHING”

Another recorded Matthew’s reference to the viral Shaggy meme, sharing the original screenshot in response to his initial tweet.

In 2020, Matthew expressed his disappointment after Will Forte was cast as Shaggy in the final big-screen animated outing for Mystery Inc., despite Matthew having been the voice of Shaggy since 2004.

Talk to entertainment tonight of his thoughts on the film, Matthew said bluntly, “About Scoob, I don’t have a lot of nice things to say. I wish them good luck, I hope the film goes really well. I mean, it was a drag. And I was surprised that this happened. And I think Hollywood is an interesting place and I’ve been there for a long time. Some of them are easier than others when you can’t find work, but this one was a disappointment.”

“I love playing the role I love having kind of a legacy and a career that I spent 30 years doing. So I love the fact that I was that role, and it was a shame that that happened differently.”

I think we can all agree that Matthew Lillard still be our Shaggy.
