Nacho Mama’s food truck gets a new permanent home
Food Trucks are so incredibly popular now. I don’t know when I had my first experience with food trucks as a dining option, but I’m sure there is definitely a place for them in my meal options. My friend Phyllis who lives in Vernon, TX has invited me several times to the food truck contest they hold every year in Vernon. Who even knew that was a thing?
I have always frequented food trucks at festivals, rodeos and the state fair grounds Critter and I even took a road trip to take advantage of the state fair food trucks even though the state fair had to be postponed due to COVID. It wasn’t until recently that I really got to grips with the food trucks in Lawton. Every Tuesday evening during the summer months, the Lawton Farmer’s Market hosts several food trucks, and hosts Comanche County Fairgrounds’eat and beat‘ indoors with food trucks and music once a month during the warmer months of the year.
I love when a new business is able to put down roots and expand what started as a mobile business. This is the case with Nacho Mama’s Mexican steakhouse.
On August 1, Nacho Mama’s will move to its new permanent location in 1806 Nw Ft Sill Blvd in Lawton. They’re preparing for their grand opening, but until then you can order by phone and pick it up outside.
It’s always a great day when new businesses succeed in Lawton. And there’s always room for great authentic Mexican food. The Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce will be on hand at 10:00 a.m., August 8, for a ribbon cutting at this exciting new location. You can visit Nacho Mama’s Mexican Grill at Facebookor call 580-360-1220 for more information.
