Oklahoma Drive In Theater Double Labor Day Weekend Feature!

If you’re looking for something to do this Labor Day weekend, why not hit the drive-in movie theater and catch a tornado-themed double feature special? Sounds like a great time and the perfect place to take the family for a fun night out under the stars. When was the last time you went to a drive-in?

It’s been a while for some of us since we’ve been to the drive-in and for others they may never have had the opportunity to go. Now is your chance! They will show both ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘Tornado’ during this special tornado-themed double feature this Labor Day weekend. It’s going to be awesome!

So where can you find this drive-in? It’s the Head Drive-In Theater situated in Ninnekah, okay. which is close to Chickasha. If you’re coming from Lawton, Fort Sill is less than an hour away so it’s not too far and very easy to get to. I haven’t been there in ages, it’s a great place to watch a movie, and their concession stand is second to none! They have EPIC burgers, pizza, nachos, hot dogs, chicken and of course popcorn!

The Chief Drive-In Theater will host his tornado-themed special double feature from Thursday, September 1 through Sunday September 4 (09-01-22 to 09-04-22). Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the movies will start around 8:00 p.m. It’s only $8.00 for adults and children are only $5.00 if paying cash, there is a small charge for cards. You’ll want to arrive on time, doors close at 8:00 p.m. with no late entry.

They will show “The Wizard of Oz” (G) first, then “Twister” (PG-13) in that order. I know what I’ll be doing on at least one of the days I’m off over Labor Day weekend! I think before heading to Rocklahoma, the family and I could go to the Cheif Drive-In Theater and catch this tornado-themed double feature to kick off the holiday weekend. Then head to Pryor, OK. for three full days of live music at Rocklahoma 2022!
