Chris Zylka, ex-fiancé of Paris Hilton is engaged to actress Hailee Lautenbach, Page Six confirmed on Friday.
“It happened on a whim and in an intimate way, no set ups or family members hiding in a bush,” Lautenbach told Page Six in a statement via his manager Jonathan Lazar.
Zylka, 37, proposed last month as the couple headed to the Seattle Marathon.
The duo were on their way when Zylka asked Lautenbach, who was driving, to turn around. The actor claimed to have left his bib at their AirBnB.
On the way home, the “Leftovers” alum asked the 28-year-old to pull over and get out of the car on a beautifully lit street. Zylka then got down on her knees and asked the ringless question and she said yes.
TMZ was first to report the news. According to the websitewhen the couple told Lautenbach’s parents a few days later, they kindly gifted the actress’ grandmother’s diamond for her engagement ring.
The couple, who met in 2020, then reportedly designed the entire ring together.
Lautenbach’s manager tells Page Six that she wants to have their wedding in Hawaii because Zylka has never been there and rejected the idea of Disneyland.
While the couple has yet to officially share the milestone moment on social media, Lautenbach hinted earlier this week that something major happened.
“Feed 🤝 Chris || I went to Seattle with our son to run a marathon (aka Chris, Daniel and I were going to run eat and try to find Chris) the marathon didn’t happen but something better did fact”, the actress of “Ride” captioned an Instagram post Monday. “I’m not telling you !”
The slideshow came a week after Zylka made their relationship Official Instagram.
The “Zeke and Luther” alum was previously engaged to Hilton. He asked the heiress to marry him while vacationing in Colorado in January 2018, nearly a year after the pair made their romance public.
Zylka proposed a 20-carat, $2 million pear-shaped diamond engagement ring, which the DJ famous lost while partying in a nightclub – but later found in an ice bucket.
hilton canceled the engagement in November of that year, with a source telling Page Six, “She broke up with him. She’s busy working and she realized he’s not the guy for her. There were problems for a while.
The star of “This Is Paris” confirm the breakup later that month, sharing in an interview with “The Talk” that she wished her ex the best.
“It was this whirlwind romance,” the “Simple Life” alum explained at the time. “I thought it was going to be my happy ending and realized after a while that it wasn’t the right decision.”
Hilton, who kept the $2 million ring Zylka gave it to him, continued to marry Carter Reum in November 2021.
Representatives for Zylka and Lautenbach did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
