Spanish singer Rosalía recently released her third album, Motomamifor rave Comments. With tracks like “Saoko,” “Chicken Teriyaki,” and “Hentai,” the album leans into the experimental side of pop music, feeling something like a chaotic fever dream. The album’s place at the top of year-end “best albums” lists is virtually guaranteed.
Building on the success of the album, Rosalía announced today that she will be taking Motomami on the road as part of a huge world tour which starts in July in Spain. She will travel to the United States and Canada from September, with her final North American date taking place in Miami on October 22. (The tour ends in December in Paris.)
The Miami show is actually an appearance at III Points 2022 — which means if you want to catch the “Con Altura” singer, you’re going to have to make it a weekend. The Wynwood-based festival has confirmed that Rosalía is set to headline the two-day event with an appearance on Saturday, the second and final day of the festival.
So far, no other acts have been announced for III Points 2022, but tickets are expected to go on sale from Friday at 10 a.m. (there was a presale last month, but it has ended.)
In March, the festival announced that it would address audience concerns expressed at the 2021 event, including adding more late-night stages and free water stations.
