CHERRIES debutant Christian Saydee scored the opportunity with a dream goal from the bench, prompting head coach Scott Parker to say “he’s accepted the hard work while others have maybe dodged.
Parker rewarded this app with a replacement appearance 15 minutes from time before the striker repaid his blunder via a goal and an assist a few minutes later to complete MK Dons’ 5-0 rout.
The 19-year-old was briefly loaned out to the National League from Weymouth last season and has been on the cherry bench a few times in the League and the FA Cup, but has never reached the pitch.
Saydee traveled with the squad to the warm-weather camp in Marbella this month, but limited himself to appearances off the bench throughout the preseason, including the midweek draw against Chelsea, winner of the Champions League.
